The Star Wheel Dropper

The Star Wheel Dropper is the perfect solution for batch collections with extremely fast cycle times. This is because the dwell time between batch drops is so small that the feeder almost runs at a continuous rate. The star wheels are able to throw the stack down quickly and accurately. Reciprocating droppers by comparison have a considerable dwell time while the paper is being dropped by gravity. Speeds are limited only by the rate of the feeder.

Adjustments can be made for the full width of product. The star wheels can be replaced with different sized wheels to provide larger or smaller product landing areas. Products as large as 8 1/2" x 11" and as small as 3" x 4" can be handled. Controls are a easily connected to a Vortex feeder for easy installation. The star wheel dropper is bolted to the discharge flange of the feeder and can be cantilever suspended over a conveyer transport.
